  • 500g lean beef mince
  • 227g packet dried chow mein noodles
  • 2 green capsicums, thinly sliced
  • 250g savoy cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon finely grated fresh ginger
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • Sliced fresh red chilli, to serve

  • Step 1
    Cut the pale section of the shallots into 5cm lengths. Slice the dark section into thin strips.
  • Step 2
    To make the stir-fry sauce, place all the ingredients in a bowl. Whisk until the honey dissolves.
  • Step 3
    Heat oil in a wok over high heat. Cook beef, breaking up any lumps, for 8 minutes or until browned. Use a slotted spoon to transfer to a bowl.
  • Step 4
    Meanwhile, cook the noodles in a large saucepan of boiling water for 2 minutes or until tender. Drain. Cover to keep warm.
